Sasol Chevron is a new joint venture specialising in the exploitation of stranded natural gas reserves for the production and marketing of gas-to-liquid (GTL) fuels. Created by powerful parents, Sasol Chevron needed to launch with a credible and professional working identity that would clearly separate the company from its parents, while leveraging their combined strength.

The Problem
As a first step, we assisted the Board in crystallising their brand platform and focusing the value proposition around the elements of next generation fuels, purity, environmental benefits and enabling technologies. This unique value proposition was captured in a new mark and visual language that is radically different from any other petrochemicals company today. With its bright cyan and clear bubbles, Sasol Chevron has claimed the space of purity as its own.
Solution & Impact
As a leading authority in a new industry, it was important that Sasol Chevron be able to communicate its vision to both technical specialists, governments and more general audiences alike. We also kept this thought to the fore in all design applications, creating innovative concepts for the corporate brochure, advertorials and website that appeal to a broad audience.
